Who is the Boss?

Sometimes you just have to realize who the real boss is around my studio...I just paint when I can. Her name is Sassy, and she lets me paint sometimes..when she is not reclined in my studio chair! Often she will attack the dogs and run them thru the house yelping and hollering as she spats at them with her front paws. When I am attempting to sleep at night, she is laying either on top of me, or curled up in a ball next to me. Never attempt to make up the bed until she has decided that her nap is over...or you will get spatted by her paws. One time she decided to carry a tube of Alizrian Crimson through out the house, destroyed the tube..but did not get any paint on anything. When the grandbabies visit, she becomes the white pillow that they are toting about the house..purring and letting them play with her until she decides to quit. Never a dull moment exists..as long as she is awake and prowling about the house either looking for a mouse..or sitting on the night stand looking at birds as they flirt with her and keep her occupied.

My classes at the Renaissance Center have begun, and I look forward to having folks that are wanting to become a part of my world, to simply show up, grab a cup of coffee, and become involved in what surely will be a learning experience for not only the students..but the teacher as well. I am as fascinated at students creativity as anyone, and I have had some students to give inspiration to me..the teacher! Winter is in it's final grip here at Bearcreek Studios, and I am hoping for a least a bit of that white stuff they call snow. So far this year..only a dusting. Okay, Sassy has decided to go outside for a while...I think I will try and get some painting done!!
